The St. Petersburg Group announced Tuesday that it is has joined Social Venture Partners Tampa Bay. Best known for their unique social enterprise challenge, Fast Pitch Tampa Bay, Social Venture Partners makes it their mission to connect philanthropists with non-profits, amplifying the impact of philanthropic investment through valuable insight and expertise provided by their partners.

The Insight Board moved to partner with SVP because they approach philanthropy differently, in a mission aligned with that of the St. Petersburg Group. SVP allows volunteer partners to offer their unique professional skills alongside their investment. They believe in multi-year, ongoing support both financial and professional, helping to build the capacity of the organization. The organizations utilizes its partners as well as paid consultants to effectively reconstruct the organization’s financial systems, create stronger, more sound board governance,  and give each organization the tools they need amplify their results.

St. Petersburg Group Insight Board Member Irv Cohen is an active member of SVP and SPG looks forward to growing the organization’s footprint in St Petersburg.
