Kevin C. Moore, Ed. D. is currently serving as Director of Operations, Entrepreneurship at the University of Tampa. Moore is a Founding Partner of Tier 1 Performance Solutions, LLC and is a Performance Improvement and Instructional Design consultant with over twenty five years of experience designing and modifying instruction for adult learners. Prior to the formation of Tier 1, Moore was Director of Learning Research for AFKelly and founder and owner of Moore Performance Improvement, a learning services firm.
Moore’s primary skills are in developing and implementing: needs assessments that address business goals and training requirements, physical and mental workload assessments, technology analysis, design of performance management systems, technical and “soft” skills training design, and summative and formative evaluations of performance improvement programs. In addition, he has experience with the selection of appropriate training strategies and materials to address learner characteristics, course objectives, and sequencing of courses to fit curriculum and performance needs. Moore’s research and work area has been in the area of knowledge and learning throughout organizations. Specific topic areas include the interactions between knowledge flows, content taxonomies, business and operational goals and technology. Moore focuses on competency models, validation of competency structures, and the application of competency models in education / training environments.
Moore is a frequent keynote presenter at national conferences and serves on the board of several highly engaging firms. Moore is published in academic and trade journals and holds a BA in Business/Organizational Communication, University of North Carolina at Wilmington; Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology, University of Kentucky, MBA from the University of Tampa; Doctorate in Education and Instructional Design Technology from the University of Kentucky.
